Bad Cats - Break your stuff / Broke your heart.
A self initiated project that started out as a design competition for the PandCo and Wesngoods brands.
The support constraint was quite strong, with a small format, a single colour on a knife handle.
I wanted to push it a bit further by adding colours, a wrap around the tiger and even a typographic composition that I'll post in another publication.
I'm very happy with the result, which is part of the same illustrative universe that I'd already developed for the bikepacking stickers.

Final sketches, initially drew with pencil
then finalized on my ipad.
Negative space balance for small sizes.
Final vector in Illustrator.
Tried 2 color schemes and decided to go my for favorite colors
Then I did a type layout work, bringing some catch phrases to the whole project:
"Meet the savage ruthless Bad cat.
Break your stuff, broke your heart.
Followed by finding and fine tuning a serie of mockups, in order to translate the design work to the real world with tangible products:
